Hobby Boss Russian Navy Oscar II Submarine Model Kit

The Oscar II nuclear-powered cruise missile submarine, one of Russia's largest and most capable submarines, displaces more than 24,000 tons when under water. This submarine is equipped with 24 SS-N-19 cruise missiles with a range of 550km, which can be launched while the submarine is submerged. Additionally, the torpedo tubes can fire both torpedoes and shorter-range anti-ship missiles.

Between 1985 and 1999, 11 Oscar II submarines were built, with three of them having been decommissioned and one, the Kursk, sinking. Currently, two Oscar II submarines are active with the Northern Fleet, and five are active with the Pacific Fleet.

The kit includes a detailed full hull, optional surface or submerged bridge and bow planes, and a pre-finished plastic display stand. It also comes with a color painting guide and decals for the hull markings. The model is in a 1/700 scale.
